What you need:A DoctorConnect clinic account with OAuth 2.1 enabled. No manual key entry — click Connect to authorize.
Prerequisites
- Your practice must be using DoctorConnect for patient engagement and appointment reminders.
- OAuth 2.1 access must be enabled for your clinic (contact DoctorConnect if you are not sure).
Step-by-step instructions
- In Dashboard → Calendar Sync, select DoctorConnect.Click the Connect button. You will be redirected to DoctorConnect's OAuth consent screen.
- Sign in to your DoctorConnect account.Use your existing DoctorConnect clinic credentials and complete 2FA if enabled.
- Review and approve the requested scopes.The consent screen will list the data we request: read:appointments (to pull your confirmed appointment list). No patient names or PHI are requested unless you explicitly grant the pii:names scope.
- You will be redirected back to your Dashboard.After approving, you will return to Dashboard → Calendar Sync. An initial sync runs automatically — your next available date will update within 30 seconds.
How to connect: No manual key entry needed — click Connect and complete the authorization flow in your browser.

- DoctorConnect inherits 150+ EHR/PMS integrations and 30+ years of HIPAA-compliant infrastructure.
- The access token lasts 90 days with a 1-year refresh token — we refresh automatically before expiry.
- We never see or store patient names, message content, or clinical data — only busy/appointment intervals.
